Initially, the golf architect advised against it. But real estate developer Dave Wilkey wouldn’t listen. “I want to put golf on the rim. Come out here and look at it.”

After reviewing the topography map, pacing the rock shelves and considering the slopes, the architects began to see that carving championship golf into the rock rim just might be possible.

Sand Hollow Resort is a master planned community located in southwest Utah with18-holes of championship golf and 9-holes of recreational golf. The site features large, red rock formations erupting from the sandy flats. Along the north side of the property is a sheer rock rim that towers 300 feet over the valley below, offering a magnificent view.

The routing of the course integrates an impressive series of five holes that are set carefully along the red sand stone ledges, providing a dramatic golf experience
